The deal lets Boundless handle new categories for children, parents, fiances, tourists and others, and makes Boundless the nation’s largest online immigration industry company.
Boundless announced it’s raised $25 million in a Series B funding round led by Foundry Group, with Laurene Powell Jobs’ Emerson Collective and Yahoo billionaire Jerry Yang’s AME Cloud Ventures.
The effort to fight the public charge policy was led by Boundless Immigration, a technology company seeking to assist families in navigating the immigration process. “This country and the major employers represented in this filing are made better by talented and hard-working immigrants,” [Boundless CEO] Wang said. “We will continue to fight back against this administration’s efforts to deter, delay, and deny legal immigration.”

“No status, no grace period, which is why those outside the United States are immediately prevented from reentering at the point they are notified of job loss,” adds Xiao Wang, CEO of Boundless Immigration, a Seattle-based tech firm that helps people apply for citizenship and green cards. Wang says stories like Vong’s are “happening all over the place right now.”
“Things are going in a positive direction, but it’s hard to catch up,” said Xiao Wang, the chief executive of Boundless, a technology company that helps families navigate the U.S. immigration system.“They are getting more people naturalized,” he said, “but the wait time is still long, 15 to 18 months.”

For each day that USCIS remained closed, 2,100 potential new voters would be disenfranchised, according to a frequently cited report by Boundless.
“It’s very much sending a signal that they want people using their online filing systems more and hopefully, in turn, they will start to invest in those systems more,” said Xiao Wang, the CEO of Boundless Immigration Inc., which helps clients navigate the US immigration system. “Hopefully, this is a virtuous cycle where fees lead to processing applications more efficiently.”
Wait times to complete the entire green card process, on average, exceed three years, according to Boundless Immigration. Those wait times are expected to increase because of coronavirus.
A report by immigration startup Boundless reveals an estimated backlog of 700,000 citizenship applications, exacerbated by the pandemic.

“You can imagine the confusion and terror that’s rippling through the immigrant community at this point,” said Doug Rand, a former Obama administration official and co-founder of the law firm Boundless Immigration.
The document, which was filed by immigration technology company Boundless Immigration, argues that the bill could cause tens of billions in negative economic impact — far outweighing the savings President Donald Trump has estimated it would reduce in taxpayer dollar spending.
The criteria for making the determination of whether an immigrant is a “public charge” is complex — and that’s where Boundless comes in. The tool asks immigrants a series of questions and determines how likely they are to be denied residency based on their answers.
